Diverse Books: Celebrating Minority Figures Who Made Change
Help me give my students a collection of books that showcase the stories of significant minority figures who have played a pivotal role in shaping history & making positive contributions to society.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
We are seeking funding for our project focused on two influential books, "Hidden Figures" and "Narrative of the Life of Frederick Douglass," which highlight the stories of minority figures who have played a significant role in shaping history. The project aims to create a collection of books that showcase the stories of significant minority figures who have played a pivotal role in shaping history and making positive contributions to society. "Hidden Figures" and "Narrative of the Life of Frederick Douglass" are two books that will provide my student diverse literature that is meaningful step towards building a more equitable society. With the goal of provide a comprehensive and inclusive representation of diverse voices, fostering a greater understanding and appreciation of the rich tapestry of human experience.
