My Project

It is imperative for students to see their cultural and language in their classroom. There are eight different languages spoked in my classroom this year! By providing books for students in their home languages they will feel empowered and valued in our English-centered school.

Valuing culture, language, and feelings is imperative to the healthy development of all students, especially kindergartners.

This project will give students access to books in their home language, tools (kimochis) to learn about and express their feelings, as well as a few organizational tools to ensure each student knows where to find books of their interest.

Please support these wonderful kindergarteners through exploring their language, culture, and feelings!
