This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My bilingual fourth grade students enjoy exploring books in both English and Spanish. My students need resources to strengthen their bilingualism. We reside in the North-west side of the Logan Square neighborhood.

My students learn in two languages!

Being bilingual has so many benefits not only for the child, but for everyone surrounding them. This amazing gift has enabled them to understand the world in two different languages.

My Project

My English language learning students must keep up with remote learning challenges. With the interactive program Nearpod, students will be able to participate live on lessons and have engaging student-paced activities.

Students will also be able to respond through audio recordings to help access information and show what they know.

We need more diverse books available through remote learning. My students have incredible curiosity and passion for reading. I want my students to feel empowered through characters in books they can relate to and learn through characters that look like they do.
