Diverse Books and Games That Get Students Talking Most
Help me give my students laminating pouches to protect their materials and communication boards, cooperative games such as "Hoot Owl Hoot!" so they can practice teamwork, and diverse books such as water protectors for cultural discussions.

it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
These books, games and materials will provide a depth of opportunity for my students to communicate. As the speech and language pathologist, my classroom is thoughtfully crafted to allow students to lead, promoting communication opportunities that will lift their language and vocabulary in powerful ways. Students will be able to choose new books and games that will encourage groupwork and engage active young minds, allowing all voices to be heard.
Cooperative games, diverse literature and durable supplies give students the opportunities to communicate in ways that are really meaningful.
This project will help create communication opportunities that are relevant beyond the classroom: cooperative games allow for teamwork, compromise, persuasion and active listening, all skills that carry over into any area of life. Diverse literature allows for discussions that dive deeper into real issues of culture and the world where we live, allowing the change makers of tomorrow practice sharing their voices today. Durable supplies such as laminator pouches and velcro make communication aids that are not quickly tossed or broken.
