it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
In the last few years, we have chosen interesting, diverse young adult novels to help students get back into reading. Since the pandemic, students have been more attached to their electronics than ever. The English department and librarian in our school came up with an idea to give books to students to get them reading more. Books are key to our students' improving their reading levels, thinking critically, and even creating more empathy.
Books are truly mirrors and windows, and Promise Boys is one such book.
Students love a good murder mystery with a protagonist of color, which this book has. We are excited to share this book with our student population.
