My Students

My students come from every neighborhood in San Francisco and they represent the vibrant diversity of what makes our city special.

Now that my students are returning to the physical classroom, it is critical to make sure they have access to all the materials they need for learning in the classroom and at home to continue to grow their creative and academic skills while we are finding our way forward in this return to normal.

My Project

Over the last several years, I have been building my classroom library, filling it with diverse literature that all of my students can access, anytime. We also have an ongoing reading challenge that is definitely growing strong readers who are hungry to keep reading! Weekly, I conference with students about their reading and during this time I offer suggestions to inspire them to seek books that challenge them to think and deepen their understanding of the world. The books I have gathered for this project will be an incredible offering to support this work!
