My Students
My students are emerging into the world of books and literacy. I want to encourage enthusiasm and a love for books to create life long readers. My students need books in order support this goal. I want to provide quality books and lessons, that my students have access to on a consistent basis, to support growth as readers and foster confidence as students. In order to read, students need books; lots of books! I want to provide as many positive reading opportunities, for my students, as possible!
My Project
My students are embarking on a life long journey of learning! Reading will open doors throughout the lives of my students. In order to make this happen, my students need quality books that provide them with a variety topics and genres. The books that I am requesting will not only support my classroom, but two other first grade classrooms as well. I want to give my students the gift of reading that will encourage their excitement, curiosity, and confidence! My school does not currently have a level library to support students at their individual reading levels. These resources are desperately needed!
