Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
The boys and girls I teach are a great bunch. They strive for excellence and work diligently to stay focused. Most of the children are economically disadvantaged and will probably be stressed out due to the pandemic.
Traditional teaching has been changed by the coronavirus.
How the upcoming school year will look is yet to be determined. Will it all be virtual, in the classroom, or a hybrid teaching model.
Whichever teaching model is chosen, I would like to be prepared.
We must do everything we can do to help optimize learning because these great bunch of kids deserves every advantage possible.
My Project
These materials will help teaching from home. The dry erase board with stand is perfect for demonstrating writing and math problems. The chart tablets and post-it tablets are also needed to stick on the wall for modeling work. Since the sheets stick, it will be simple to hang behind me as I model work such as letter formation. The number line and manipulatives can easily be referred to if needed. Finally, examples of lessons and work will need to be printed for the students so they can view and use them. Your help will ensure that my students have access to optimal lesson presentations from home or class.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
