Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our school serves students in grade k-8 and provides rigorous academics, safe learning environment, and caring teachers. They come from low-income households and have not had much experience with the world outside their small community.

My first grade students are imaginative, fun-loving kids, and many don't have the ability to learn online.

Many depend on limited worksheet packets and whatever books they have at home. Despite the hardships they are facing with the closure of our school, they are eager learners.

My Project

Please help me give my students learning materials for home and distance learning. Students are not able to leave their homes due to the Safer at Home Order in Wisconsin. My students need books to read and writing materials that make learning exciting.

My students need to practice their writing skills during the months ahead.

My students are not being encouraged to write and they need paper and stamped envelopes to write letters to me. I believe that these two significant items will be a wonderful motivating factor to write and it would encourage my students to write for pleasure and continue to develop their writing skills to be life-long writers. These materials will be mailed directly to my student's home.
