My Students

The coronavirus pandemic has been everything but kind to our class. We were looking forward to all the wonderful end of year activities. Now it seems our end of the year is chaotic and we are trying to fit in academics in a 45 minute a day time frame. Our class currently meets on Google Meets. Unfortunately, not all students have access to technology. I try to reach every student no matter what barrier stands in our way.

My Project

2020 has turned out to be quite a year and it's only halfway over. Educators across the globe are teaching through a distance learning approach. Needless to say, teachers are always up for a challenge. I am one of those teachers.

I am one lucky kindergarten teacher that has 20 amazing students.

They are resilient and have embraced the distance learning model. The items I am requesting will really help me continue teaching my students to the best of my ability!

We study a lot of nonfiction topics so the anchor chart paper will be very helpful in allowing us to complete our KWL/Can-Have-Are charts. The charts are very important to my students because it helps support their writing. I also requested lighting so the students can see me when we meet on Google Meet. I also requested a few items to reinforce proper letter formation, and a fun math game to practice basic operations.

Teachers are good at adapting to the situation surrounding them. It's just another experience to add to our many stories.
