Help me give my students the ability to get the most effective distance learning that they are able to by providing them with a device that they can use to continue this year.
I teach a inclusion classroom which comprises of nine to eleven year old female and male students. I team teach with one partner. I teach Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies. My students are energetic and eager to learn which makes my job fun and rewarding. Because of my group of students it is imperative that I am able to reach them and give them the accommodations that the so desperately need. Currently my students have devices that they are sharing with their younger and/or older siblings. The technology scarcity has made it almost impossible for all of my scholars to get their needs met because the times conflict with other siblings or parents ability to complete their work.
My Project
These materials will allow my students the ability to have a device that they can use specifically for their distance learning without having to worry about their siblings or their parents' schedule. These devices will allow the students to get on live with me so that I may be able to show them strategies in real time. The students will then be able to ask me questions and to share with me examples of their work. Currently the students are able to get online about fifty percent of the time due to several siblings having to share the same device with similar schedules. These devices will alleviate the students' anxiety and decrease their isolation by giving them the ability to interact with their classmates and to engage in various learning platforms.
