Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Gems can be found even in the roughest of circumstances, especially during these trying times through distance learning. I truly believe that my students are very special because despite their socioeconomic status, they do want to learn about the world and become their own success stories. They get excited about new concepts and making sense of their own world. Especially with distance learning, I just want to be able to provide for their learning needs.
I have a dynamic classroom of students that are excited to learn and I want them to be successful while we distance learn again!
They have been so resilient and I know they can learn if they are provided with an optimal learning environment and resources that can foster positive support for their various needs. These work binders will help, not only students, but also parents practice reading, writing, math, and fine motor skills at home, all while minimizing screen time.
My Project
I am looking to get resources to help students learn from home. Especially with Kindergarten, they need hands-on activities and worksheets. There are great resources on Teacher Pay Teachers and having it accessible to help the needs of my students will be so helpful.
I am looking for worksheets and booklets that students can color, write, and read from home.
I will also use these to do whole group and small group instruction. I am particularly looking at templates and tracing worksheets to help students forming letters and numbers. I also found great booklets emphasizing on letters, colors, and numbers that I would like to use all year long. What I like about these resources is that they are current and have fun formats that are appealing to young children. Especially learning at home, they need to have material that are engaging and can be used throughout the year.
I have learning binders ready to go, but I am looking to fill these with worksheets they can do over and over again. I would really hope that the letter and number tracing worksheets and ready made booklets will help Kindergarten students have less screen time and practice in fine motor skills.
