Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
With the Coronavirus pandemic taking place, my students are currently at home, at their parents' workplace, or at a babysitter's house. The majority of my students are English language learners (ELLs) whose families are newcomers to America. School assignments are usually in English, so many students depend on teacher support. My school district has not determined what will take place in the fall, but I'm certain that no matter what takes place, my students will continue to make academic progress because of their determination to learn.
Our school has made tremendous gains over the past several years, moving from one of the lowest-performing schools in the area to achieving the honor of being named a California Distinguished School!
We are an example of a community of students, teachers, parents, and staff all working together for academic achievement. The. Coronavirus pandemic has only solidified that when we all work together, so much is possible.
Our hope is that many of our students will be the first generation in their families to go to college!
My Project
Engaging students through during distance learning is crucial in supporting them with their learning. With your support, I will be able to purchase creative Teachers Pay Teachers resources to engage my students in math, reading, writing, science and more.
My students will be able to use the Teachers Pay Teachers resources at home through various Google platforms.
I will also be able to provide students with printed packets of resources from Teachers Pay Teachers.
A Teachers Pay Teachers gift certificate will give me the opportunity to purchase resources that will engage my students during this coronavirus pandemic. Please consider supporting my students in our distance learning adventure.
