Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Half of my students came from a financially impacted families. Last week, I had 2 families that were already displaced. Not all can join online learning so I try to send worksheets, art materials and activity packets to my families that are struggling.

My Project

Before covid, my students were already suffering because most of them came from from families that are financially impacted. Now, some of my families do not have online access even when provided with technology by our district. Some parents are forced to leave their children at home either with an older sibling or with relatives. Because of the situation, they are missing out from distance learning, and activity packets will support them. They already felt isolated so I thought of sending some manipulative that they can use at home like play doughs and sidewalk chalks. I have couple of parents that were already displaced, and children are having anxieties and behaviors.
