Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
The school that I work at serves a variety of students who come from multiple cultural and family backgrounds. Our PreK- 5th-grade school has a diverse population. As a unique quality, our students get to experience an American Sign Language environment with our DHH (Deaf and Hard of Hearing) program.
The students at our school love to learn, and they love being able to come to a fun, safe, caring, and learning environment.
We have a wide variety of student needs at our school. We are a Title I school that has a very high mobility rate. They find comfort in the fact that school is one of the most constant aspects of some of their lives.
My students aspire to achieve the best despite any difficult circumstances they encounter along the way. They find joy in learning and enjoy any provided learning opportunity.
My Project
My students are working at home and are given a limited number of resources. These tools will be used to support and enhance their learning environments. They need headphones to focus, pencils to write with, and various tools to support their writing skills.
Although my students are provided with a 1:1 device, they need headphones to focus during their online instruction and paper, writing sheets, and notebooks to maintain their writing, planning, and penmanship skills.
These tools will ensure that they are able to build on and maintain these skills so they will be experts in writing stories and penmanship, and the headphones will help them focus in their distance learning environments.
