Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are joyful, enthusiastic, and hard-working scholars! Although many come from low-income families, my school's families and students put a high priority on learning and doing their best in school.

Third grade is such an important time in a child's life.

Students now have the ability to focus on tasks for a longer time and make connections between their life and what their future can become. I want to prepare my students for our world's future in the best possible way.

My Project

What a crazy start to the school year! My students in California are distance learning with me each day. We learn together via Zoom, share ideas, get to know each other, and laugh at silly jokes or the teacher's technical difficulties.

I am so proud of the effort my students are putting forth and this Distance Learning Perfect Pairings from AKJ will help my students improve their logic and problem solving skills at home.

I have requested a kit for each student. The kit contains 2 books: one on transportation and the other a patterning book ABABA from the wildly popular authors Brian P Cleary and Brian Gable. In addition to the books is the Rush Hour game. It is one of the most popular logic games. It has multilevel challenges that my students can play with their whole family.

These kits will be a great way to provide fun and engaging material for home that doesn't involve COMPUTER SCREENS.
