This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our school is full of energetic students who get to school every day full of life, ready to learn, and excited for what is in store for them that day. I teach at a Title I school where the majority of our students receive free breakfast and lunch.
My students are eager to learn and try their best.
I am hoping to provide my students with what they need most! I want to make sure my students have equal access to everything they need to be successful!
My Project
Distance learning has completely changed the way we do things. We have ended the school year but we are continuing to teach our students through distance learning throughout our summer. Our new school year might take place fully online. Unfortunately, the laptop I'm currently using needs to be replaced. It is out of space for me to save projects. It is difficult to load websites. I'm not able to access many online platforms and special features to create activities and experiences because my current device is so outdated.
As we face the reality of continuing with distance learning, I will need a better device for me to use from home.
An updated device could help me create more engaging digital activities for my students. Over all, the funds from this project would provide me with a new MacBook Air. This device would be very useful as I continue to plan distance learning lessons, activities and experiences. As result my students would be able to participate in synchronous and asynchronous learning.
