Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
The Coronavirus pandemic has hit my teaching very hard. From one day teachers had to begin teaching remotely with very little time to prepare. My classroom was affected because my students had limited resources to begin learning remotely.
Due to financial hardships, many of my students did not have access to internet at home, or a device to use to begin learning online.
This became a real challenge. Getting devices and internet hotspots became a priority at my school. Yet many students continue to have limited access to the needed technology.
Now that the school year is upon us, I will need to provide much of my instruction from home, and I would like to be prepared to meet the challenges of the coming school year.
My Project
The INSWAN INS-1 Tiny 8MP USB Document Camera with Auto-Focus and LED Supplemental Light, will help me give my students the best possible learning experience from home. My students will be able to see any lessons I project, such as passages that I highlight, live writing lessons, and viewing as I demonstrate and solve math problems with them.
My students can and will learn from home with the use of technology, the internet, and a caring teacher.
They are bright and eager to learn. Teaching and learning from home does not replace being at school and learning in person. But, during these uncertain times, it is the best alternative.
The document reader I am requesting will help me enhance lessons and give students visuals that will keep them motivated to learn. The portable whiteboard will also provide opportunities for my students to watch as I spell words, write sentences, and work out math problems.
