My students are learning at home. We are a rural Title 1 school. Access to the internet is costly and limited. My students are really missing school. They are so happy to hear from their teacher. The parents keep mentioning how helpful the fifth graders are when it comes to chores or the remote learning of their younger siblings. They would benefit from some extra supplies and surprises.
I teach two classes of ELA and social studies at a Title 1 school. Many of my students are helping their families with chores and with the remote learning of their younger siblings. This project would give them supplies to use as they draw and write and explore their imagination.
We are creating a Revolutionary War timeline with illustrations.
Students could use the sketch pad for drawing their illustrations.
Students learned on a Friday that schools would be closed. My students often get paper from school. This project would give them a wonderful surprise.
