it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Everyone is currently being affected by the coronavirus pandemic, but how difficult must it be to be a child and not fully understand our current situation?
I hope to bring to them some normalcy through Distance Learning and provide as many tools as possible for my students; they are currently learning from their homes.
Some students have minimal working space at home, and I even have a student going to the park in order to obtain internet connection.
Every child has their story during these changing times and I would like to be able to provide them tools in order for them to be more involved during our distance learning.
My Project
As part of the school week will continue to be online, I would like to be able to give my students the best lessons possible.
With these tools I will be able to physically model to all students using the document camera during mathematics, reading, writing and art.
This will be the closest thing to being in a classroom that I can provide my students. I would be able to use the camera throughout all subject in particular for reading when marking the text and in mathematics for explaining and showing work. Lastly, with the headphones I can give my students a sense of privacy and community which is what I would have been able to provide for them in a physical classroom. With the headphones I would be able to build trust and relationships when keeping our distance learning private since I would be the only other person able to hear them and not those surrounding me.
