Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I am a second year, fourth grade teacher. I work with an awesome group of thirty kids! We are a diverse group that make up the family of our room!
I love teaching this group of students because they are hard working and try their best to further their understanding.
They are always working to demonstrate a growth mindset and to be kind. I enjoy seeing them demonstrate and apply their understanding to everyday tasks. Watching them learn and grow every day is so rewarding!
My Project
Due to the unfortunate impact of COVID-19, learning has changed for students and teachers. While we are trying our best to make online learning feel normal, it is not the same.
I don't know what next school year will bring but the whiteboard and post-it pads would be a tremendous support when teaching from home or in our regular classroom.
I have implemented the use of Zoom's white board and annotating feature, but at times it can be difficult to manage. By having these materials at home, I can provide a better learning experience for my students. I want my students to feel like they're in a classroom.
