Help me give my students building sets, dry erase boards, markers, pencils, workbooks, and backpacks, to provide them with the supplies they need to finish the school year and have a productive summer.

Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students are imaginative and fun-loving kids. They come from a large, urban, and diverse community. They bring a special blend of background knowledge, prior experiences, and culture to our school. We are a Title I school; free breakfast and free lunch are available to every child in our building each day, which are now remotely served.

As of March 16th, my students have been learning at home.

School will be closed due to the COVID-19 virus for the rest of the school year. This presents a challenge, as some of my students do not have access to supplies in their homes.

Some depend on worksheet packets and whatever books they have at home. Despite the hardships they are facing with school being closed, they are eager learners.

My Project

Please help me give my students learning materials for home and distance learning due to the COVID-19 pandemic. They need a variety of books to read, math materials, reading comprehension books, and hands-on learning materials.

My students need summer bridge activities to complete during the summer months.

They also need kits that contain grade-level reading material. These kits also contain hands-on learning materials that make learning exciting!

I have picked out a few things I think my students would enjoy, including: Plus-Plus Construction Building STEM | STEAM Interlocking Mini Puzzle Blocks, a chapter book I think they will enjoy, and a bag full of supplies. These materials will be dropped off directly to my students' homes .
