Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I call my students my Bumblebee and they call me Queen Bee. I got their backs like they got mine. They have always shown confidence in everything they do. They are all unique in their own way. Therefore each one of my Bumblebee has something to offer to the community. When a friend is not flying so high, there's always a friend ready to offer honey love to sweeten the day.
My Bumblebees do not always have it easy.
Some of them come from families that do their best with little means. Nonetheless, they come into class with smiles ready for hugs and brains to grow. They also understand that I am not perfect. I make it known to them that even as a teacher, I can make mistakes. They even help me figure out ways to fix my issues.
For this reason, our Bumblebee community work together to learn new things. We understand that it's not always about finishing, but instead about how and why the work is important. We all try to understand our unique ways of learning and help each other achieve our goals.
My Project
My kindergartners are social learners. We have built a strong community over the school year. However, due to the epidemic, their daily routine and social-emotional state has been affected.
I want to provide my kindergartners with tools they need to succeed during distance learning.
My students learn best when they can connect with their peers. I want to provide as much live sessions as I can so they can virtually connect to the learning and grow together as a class.
I would like to get these materials and delivery them safely to each of my students. The learning tools will bring a high level of support to my Bumblebees.
