The majority of my students only learn and interact with other students when we are at school. They come from low-income households and are typically lacking in supplies. I have to send pencils home with the students weekly to encourage the students to practice at home. I want to add more interactive activities for my students but don’t have enough materials or funds to support the interactive activities that we are looking for! I want to promote learning as much as possible for my students!
My Project
My students have been greatly affected by the coronavirus and the shutdowns that have occurred. We are now required to create learning packets for our students to complete at home. Many of my students do not have the necessary materials such as pencils and crayons to complete the activities that are sent home. After the students have completed the packets, we are required to collect and grade them for completion. To avoid getting sick and avoid cross contamination, I am aiming to Lysol each packet as I go. I have also had many students celebrate birthdays that we cannot celebrate at school. I want to give each student something special on their birthday, but when you do not see your students it is difficult. Help me provide the necessary resources to my students during this trying time.
