My Project
Science is a critical subject, and hands-on learning is essential for our students to learn these concepts. After teaching science for 7 years at the same school, I've seen how access to expensive monitoring equipment is a barrier to hands on student learning.
With a dissolved oxygen probe, students can monitor stream health in real time.
Students can use the data to analyze inputs and outputs that might affect stream health, which in turn can affect coral reef health. Our students are learning about human impact on the environment and a dissolved oxygen probe will give us a great chance to collect real data for our experiments.
