This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students love doing hands-on science. They crave labs and these are their favorite days--making a difference between loving or feeling indifferent towards learning and science.
My goals for this project are to provide students with experience in dissection skills and practice, to view structure and function in a way that is interactive, and to make connections to evolution as well.
This will cover multiple NGSS aligned standards.
I want to provide them with more hands-on experiences that will not only continue to engage their curiosity in science, but also better prepare them for their futures. Our school has very little funding, and my students deserve to have the same experience in Los Angeles as students in Beverly Hills.
