My students need 85 young scientist frogs with dissection kits so they can see how we are all basically the same on the inside.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I teach in a low income area with a diverse population of mostly Hispanic, with some Polish and African American students. Our middle school is one of the largest in the city, where in teams of five, I teach science to 150-185 7th graders daily. Yes I said daily! Activities that engage that many students make learning fun!
I solicited frog donations for dissection three years ago, and now, siblings beg me every year to participate in the fun they all have heard about from older siblings. Last year was the second time we did dissections.
Last year there were only three classes of 90 students total. With five classes, I have 150 students that have expressed a sense of entitlement in wishing to participate! They think they are supposed to have this luxury of learning because they have heard from high schoolers, that dissections are no longer a part of the regular high school curriculum. The frog kits we are requesting contain the frogs, reusable dissection tools, and an instruction booklet.
Your help will enable these students to do something they will not experience in high school. It is an expense many of them cannot afford, but will remember and will be talked about long after they leave middle school!
