My Students

My students are so excited to be in-person half of the time (cohorts) during this strange school year. They have persevered through some challenging circumstances and it's been a goal of mine to provide them with the best learning environment and experiences possible. They are great, young minds and deserve the best!

My Project

Every year, 6th graders dissect frogs. This activity evokes an excitement for science, but it comes at a cost.

Over 10 million animals are killed every year for dissections, and most are not killed humanely.

This statistic, found on peta.org, is devastating. Dissecting organisms is an unethical and unnecessary practice, especially at such a young age. I would like to encourage my students' enthusiasm for science, but in a way that is cruelty-free and provides multiple learning experiences. This can be done through the purchase of reusable, synthetic frogs!

Students can dissect these frogs year after year without exposure to chemicals and while protecting animal life. They are so life-like, it's incredible. With the purchase of 1 class set, we can begin using the synthetic frogs this year!

Thank you for taking the time to read about our project. I am very passionate about the ethical treatment of animals and providing a meaningful, well-rounded education for my students. The impact this project can have is quite significant. By donating, you are giving students the ability to safely learn, while maintaining respect and compassion for animals.
