Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our fourth grade students learn about the life cycles of plants and animals. A fun way to learn about lifecycles of animals is to dissect owl pellets. Students will dissect the owl pellet to study the bones inside. Once they have removed all of the bones from the pellet they can piece them back together to try to determine what the owl ate.
Our students love these types of activities, they're hands on activities where we can learn from doing.
The owl pellets teach our students about the lifecycles of the owls and the animals the owls ate.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
