This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
How Important is the environment to our children and their future? Now is the time to show our kids just how much!
I work with highly motivated 7th graders who have little knowledge of how the effects of our environment directly affect their futures.
I work in a low income school in Los Angeles that has few resources to help students learn. My students, like most, learn best with hands on experiences.
My Project
The Acid Rain Kit and the Apple tablet will allow my students to observe how Acid Rain affects the environment and do research on what they can do to improve the environment. They can also work to Identify the causes and effects of weather-related issues such as thunderstorms, tornadoes, drought and acid precipitation.
The Acid Rain Kit and Apple tablet will give my students the chance to observe the effect of acid rain on our environment and give them the means to do much needed research to determine their role in helping to control Acid Rain and motivate them to help our environment.
