it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are starting to really begin to build on their writing skills. Skills that will be incredibly important to their academic success in not just my English class but in life!
Writing is a skill that needs to be consistently practiced in order to see improvement.
Most writing assignments are typically completed with the use of technology. My goal is to have students also write the "old-fashion" way with pen and paper (in this case a composition book). The extra bonus will be that students have an opportunity to express themselves every single day in class with their personal journaling.
Learning how to articulate themselves through personal journaling will open their brilliant minds and support their learning as we read various classic and contemporary literary works.
