I teach an inquisitive, motivated group of advanced fourth graders who learn by questioning and creating. Design and innovation are integrated into all we do, and the goal is to provide hands-on experiences so that learning comes to life.Ours is a collaborative classroom where students work together to make sense of the world around them. Through exploration and problem solving, students are better able to understand and make a difference in the world they live in. Learning in our class is an adventure!
My Project
My wonderful class of inquisitive 4th graders is naturally curious, and the world is our classroom. Heinemann's non fiction library on extreme weather will provide my students with a set of books that will allow them to explore the questions they have about hurricanes, tornadoes, floods, and other extreme weather conditions that fill the news each day.
These colorful, engaging books will draw students into the world of weather.
Answers to why extreme weather occurs and what we can do when weather changes are just a few interesting topics students can explore with this rich and powerful library of books.
