My Project
I work with students that are struggling behaviorally and emotionally. Most students reside in a residential treatment facility while others are bussed in from nearby districts. Learning to get along and work together are major daily challenges for the children. The book sets will reinforce needed literacy skills while uncovering strategies for collaboration.
From resolving conflicts and sharing to being kind and polite, these engaging books will teach children the skills they need to get along with others!
The collection includes 8 books with simple text and expressive illustrations, plus discussion questions and activity ideas that reinforce a variety of social-emotional skills. Each book is 35 pages.
Growing up, my own children loved to be read to and peruse independently. These topics will provide material for lively practical conversations. The students need all the language practice they can get. If they could read and follow directions, they could do anything! Thank you!
