This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Making connections through children's literature is pivotal to a child's positive experience in early education. This project will allow me to help my students make mathematical connections in stories, and then connect them to the real world through the stories they engage with.

Teaching math through children's literature is hands down one of the most effective approaches I have experienced in my career.

The stories that we read bring math to life! Each of the books I have ordered will connect to mathematical units of study that connect to standards and critical learning goals for kindergarteners.
