My Students

Our diverse students consist of individuals desiring to grow and learn despite the fact the over 60% receive free or reduced-price lunch. One-fifth of our students identify as a minority. If you walked into our school you would find students from all walks of life. The needs of a typical class are very broad. I teach all sorts of students including those who are learning disabled, medically challenged, impoverished, socially and behaviorally delayed to those who excel easily and need to be challenged.

My Project

These materials will provide our Title I students inquiry-based STEM curriculum for use in informal settings outside of classroom! This will allow students opportunities to use thinking and reasoning skills needed for success in the real world. This kit is built around the engineering design process, EiE teaches kids how to solve problems systematically. What an opportunity to equip our students for life. The teachers who lead this program volunteer their time afterschool to allow students to expand their knowledge level in various topics including gardening, environmental science, volunteerism, and more! Help us help them discover more using the STEM bundle in this project.
