Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Decodable readers are essential tools in helping students build their reading skills. Decodable readers help our students with their reading skills through systematic phonics instruction, word recognition, and confidence building.

These Starfall readers will introduce phonics skills in levels and provide text for students to read that matches the phonics skills they are trying to master.

Our classroom library is in need of decodable books which are designed to teach phonics and build confidence systematically. The Starfall decodable readers does a great job of offering clear and useful early literacy lessons. The effective sound-it-out approach helps students identify each individual phoneme, or sound, in words. The Starfall readers is carefully crafted to captivate young minds.

These books will be well loved, shared, and cherished for many years in my classroom library. My goal for my first graders is to get my beginning readers excited about opening a book and having fun with the characters they meet in the stories while learning new skills.

Mrs. Fare will only receive her materials if this project is fully funded by September 4.
