My students need books to discover the universe around us! We need books written by astronauts, how to be prepared for emergencies, and how to be a ninja.
The kids at my school come to school each and every day energized and ready to learn. We are located in the great state of Nebraska. Our school is not a Title I school, so funding for extra supplies is not in the budget. There are students with family serving in the military, students who are English Language Learners, and many more.
The students love to read and we need books to study our galaxy!
They need science books so we can explore and discover the Milky Way!
Kindergarten is an important year of school for the children.
It is the first year they are working together as a team, so every child can succeed!
My Project
Our kindergarten classroom needs books about the planets in the Milky Way galaxy to discover what is out there in space! We need books about all the planets to further our exploration of our universe. We need to learn about how small Mercury is, how Venus is full of gas, and learn about our own planet, Earth. Mars is another planet we need to discover as our space program has sent rovers there. The children need to discover how big Jupiter is, the rings around Saturn, how far Neptune and Uranus are from Earth, and how Pluto used to be a planet but now it is not. We need books written by an astronaut from our great state of Nebraska. We need books to read about ninjas and whose shoes are whose.
