My Project

My students are naturally curious and they love playing with the molding sand in our sand/water table. I would like to provide them with other sensory play materials that are non-sticky and easy to scoop and squish.

Sensory play is very important for 4–5-year-old children because it helps them learn about the world through their senses.

Sensory play supports brain development by strengthening connections that help with thinking and understanding new concepts. It also helps children develop fine motor skills as they squeeze, pour, scoop, and mold different materials. When children play sensory activities together, it helps them develop their socio-emotional skills through sharing, taking turns, and problem solving. These bags of play foam will fill the two bins in our sand/water table which will provide ample time and space for 2-4 students to play at the same time.

I hope that you can help me provide an interesting addition to sensory play and learning in our classroom.
