it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
As a school nurse in a beautifully diverse middle school, a priority is to create an inclusive environment which is a key to nurturing every student's potential.
We all have differences in our abilities, 1 in 5 people identify as having a disability.
Being disability confident in today’s social climate is more important than ever!
Your donation will directly contribute to providing books that teach students how to ask questions, model positive disability language, and teach students how to be an ally. Your project support will also support those with vision disorders and provide eyeglass cleaners, glasses repair kits, and cases for eyeglasses. This project will also fund a vision disorder simulator kit to foster an understanding of the challenge it is to read and participate in activities without using prescription glasses.
Your donation helps to ensure that every student—regardless of ability—receives the support they need to thrive. Together, we can build a future where every individual feels valued and empowered in their educational journey.
