My Students
Save us from our old, dinosaur computers! Our computers are so old and slow that they are almost useless. Every time my students utilize the Internet, the computer locks up!
As a Title I Reading Teacher, I see all the students Kindergarten through Fifth Grade.
They need a computer to complete reading games and activities without getting frustrated by the performance of the computer. Often the students I work with need intervention and support. A netbook will help reinforce the skills these students are struggling to master.
My Project
A new netbook will enable each student who is struggling with reading and writing to have access to a working computer. A working computer means meaningful instruction through technology. They can play games, write essays and practice various reading skills.
Having an new, accessible computer will help build the skills our struggling readers have been missing.
