My Project

My students are incredible, resilient young people who come to school every day ready to learn, laugh, and grow, despite the challenges they face outside our classroom walls. We are a diverse urban middle school where the majority of our students qualify for free or reduced-price lunch. Many of our families are working hard to make ends meet, and the cost of basic personal care items often becomes an extra burden.

In early adolescence, feeling confident, clean, and cared for matters more than ever.

When students don't have access to items such as feminine hygeine products, it impacts their self-esteem, social interactions, and even their ability to focus in class. I want every student who walks into school to feel comfortable and ready to learn, not worried about things beyond their control.
