My Students

"Oh wow!!!" exclaims a bright-eyed 5 year old as she enters the classroom and sees a wild "rugs alive" rug that is in the center of the floor. It was like magic to my eyes as I watched her and another student pair up with a e-book and read before the school day commenced. My school serves low-income students in grades PreK-5 and provides a rigorous academic program centered around the International Baccalaureate program, dedicated teachers, and a safe learning environment.

We are a very close-knit bunch and thrive off of the success of each other.

I am always seeking out ways to ensure that my students have a solid foundation. In order to accommodate the various modalities of my different learners, I am exploring options of including more science and technology in order to drive instruction and help prepare them for the rapid advancements in technology.

My Project

Students will engage with kid-friendly and teacher-approved digital resources. Students will use the resources for synchronous and asynchronous learning. Resources from virtual field experiences to CVC (consonant vowel consonant) word practice through an interactive format will be selected for students learning. I am trying to put together exciting and engaging activities that will keep my students attention as the roomies and zoomies participate in the classroom and at home online using available technology. The goal is to meet the needs of students and create a fun balance of standards-based tasks.
