Kenneth Blanchard's quote, “None of us is as smart as all of us.” describes the type of digital writing which plays an important role in my writing classroom.
My students are middle school scholars!
The classes are comprised of 87 creative and culturally diverse learners. They come from different backgrounds and have great learning opportunities unequal to the past. Their technology skills and digital learning demands are unprecedented.
My Project
We use technology in our classroom everyday. My students need 4 Chromebooks and wireless mice. Chromebooks provide students with the tools to participate in a community of digital writers. The students will be able to access Google Apps, which allows students to save, share, collaborate, and publish their writing. Chromebooks in my classroom will also give the students instant access to state on-line writing programs, web based writing sites, and writing resources.
Donating to the funding of this project will make a difference because it will change students' lives for the better.
We live in a digital era. Giving students the ability to practice digital writing will increase their productivity as citizens and increase their career readiness after they graduate from school.
