This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

Our school is made up of approximately 1400 students for primarily low-income families. We have 97% of our students on free or reduced lunch. New supplies for the classroom would be very exciting for them.

Here at our school we are looking for ways to make our school a better place to learn and work.

School budgets are constantly being reduced every year making it difficult to help those students in need. Through this project, we will be able to give the necessary resources to our students and staff.

My Project

Tablets are the new books and my students need them ASAP! My students need digital access to the internet during class time. My students could dive into a new book while independent reading. They can select different books based on their likes!

The use of tablets are endless!!

They are not only for reading, they can use them to do immediate research on any topic. They can use Nearpod and dive into worlds far away. They can use iReady and learn new concepts at their own pace! They can create presentations, watch instructional videos and Skype famous people to inspire them.
