it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My Phoenix students are wonderful, helpful hard working young people. They give the best effort that they can, and we often surpass the expectations of audience members who hear us play.
We will be as excellent as the support we are given.
We can play our instruments as long as they work. We can tune ourselves if we have tuners. We can play songs if there are songs we can purchase for our performance ensembles.
Every little bit of help makes a difference to us. With enough little bits of help, we will reach higher levels of achievement than ever before.
My Project
Help us get a set of digital tuners for our classroom. Our young musicians are learning to tune their own instruments, and the digital tuners allow multiple students to tune at once instead of tuning "one string at a time" for the whole class.
These tuners will allow us to spend more of our classroom time learning new music and less time tuning our group.
The tuners will also help more students to become proficient at tuning their own instrument.
