My Students

I teach at one of the best Title I schools within my county. My students come from various backgrounds and different countries all over the world. We love to learn from one another and help each other grow. Many of the students have been at our school since Kindergarten. We have built a wonderful school community with parents and teachers that love to see these students blossom. I've had the opportunity to work with several families of siblings throughout the years. My students love to do hands-on, engaging activities that allow their learning styles to shine through. Although this year has thrown a curveball at us going virtual, I know that the students are eager to learn and get back into a routine with their teacher, classmates, and school family.

My Project

In these challenging times, it has been difficult trying to demonstrate the necessary skills needed to understand the task in each content area. Studies have shown that the EL and SPED population benefit in developing their cognitive abilities through the visualization process. Therefore, having these graphic tablets will empower those students, and be a win-win situation for everyone. These digital tablet pads will enable the students to see and grasp the material more clearly as it is being presented. These tablets will help the teacher develop those essential skills that are required now more than ever since going virtual.
