Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

We are a school of approximately 650 students in the Triangle of North Carolina. We are a Title I school with about 67% of our population receiving free and reduced lunch.

My students absolutely deserve effective, interactive, and FUN resources to enhance their learning.

We are continuing to integrate technology into our curriculum and would love to be able to provide more tools to help our students succeed. They are hard-working, motivated, caring, and best of all, excited about learning!

My Project

These books are part of my effort to help my students become better digital citizens. I want to build a library of books in our technology lab/maker space that students and teachers can check out at their convenience.

This selection of books covers a wide range of important 21st-century skills, from learning how to demonstrate learning with digital tools to being kind and safe on the internet.

While we often think of this generation as digital natives, we are now seeing that they need more guidance and instruction on how to effectively and responsibly use all the resources available to us.
