I am a new 1st grade teacher in an inner-city Title I school. I have 24 students from various ethnic backgrounds. A large majority of my students come from non-English speaking families. My class also includes special education students who need differentiated instruction and visuals. My students love using classroom resources to help them with their classwork. Unfortunately, with budget cuts and no funding, we lack sufficient resources in the classroom.
My school does not have available funding to purchase materials that are needed to meet the needs of my special education students and English language learners, especially during these times.
My students are very special because they try their best even though they are often faced with many obstacles that other children do not have. They love school and are happy to learn.
If this project is funded, it will be a wonderful asset to my classroom. The Teachers Pay Teachers website is a terrific resource that enables me to find activities and support that I can use to inspire my learners. The resources are made by teachers that are very creative.
My students will benefit from these creative resources and make learning fun.
I have used this resource and my students love the reading passages which have comprehension questions. I would love to use them all the time, especially during Black History and Women's History months. This Teachers Pay Teachers gift card will not only benefit my students but will benefit me as well so that I can give them more fun activities that are digital.
