This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

STEM type activities help my students with using critical thinking and problem solving skills. To prepare my students for 21st century skills, I am requesting the Digital Relay Challenge STEM in Action lab. This STEM lab will provide the students with the opportunity to use the coding skills they have been learning.

I have a classroom full of energetic fourth graders who are eager to learn.

We are part of a large metropolitan school district. My class is ethnically diverse. Our school has a large population of students who have various disabilities.

My Project

By using this STEM in Action Lab, students will learn how to use codes to protect information. In addition, students will work in teams and use the engineering design process to create a transmission system.

Most importantly, students develop the ability to work cooperatively and get to see their ideas actually put into action.

Using this lab will continue to further the students critical thinking and problem solving skills and communicate their thinking orally and well as written in their science journals.

Your donation will be a significant contribution to our class' further development in hands on engaging activities that promote science literacy.
