My students need iPads to add their masterpieces to their digital portfolios, to access and complete assignments, and to have fun with creative apps.

My Students

My second graders are a sweet and lively bunch of kiddos. They are independent learners who take pride in their learning. They love to read, write and do math. Technology, STEAM projects and art lessons are the highlights of their school days.

They are so proud of the learning that they are part of every day, that they want to keep everything.

Have you ever wondered where they put all of their masterpieces that they create in school? Some can't be put into a file or a scrapbook because they are 3D or too large.

My Project

What if we treated our learning like a Blockbuster Movie?!? Kids love sharing their work with their parents and collaborating with their peers. With the two iPads, they will be able to add their masterpieces to their digital portfolios. They will be able to see their learning progress throughout the year.

Students who struggle in reading and writing can have alternative ways of showing their learning.

They can add pictures, videos and audio recordings to replace the normal paper and pencil tasks. Digital Portfolios allow students to track and show growth over longer periods of time. And students develop 21st century skills.
